The Hall Happenings

Fisheating Creek Camping

A few weekends ago, hubby and I went camping with my brother, sister-in-law, and nephew. We went camping at a beautiful campground. I love camping. I grew up on camping, so it is always nostalgic when we go. You should know another thing about me. Bathrooms are awesome. I particularly like them while camping. :) We were lucky enough to have them, and showers! The weather was absolutely beautiful! We camped at Fisheating Creek State Park campground.  The history of Fisheating Creek is actually pretty interesting.  There is so much to do there, including: kayaking and canoeing, hiking, fishing and hunting, as well as some smore making!  We opted for kayaking and smore making during this trip.  Aaron and I got a tandem kayak.  Let’s just say we learned a lot about each other!!  For instance, it is recommended by me that from now on only one of us paddles and the other takes pictures.  It is also apparent that the person who is Deaf should sit in the back, so that they are not subjected to getting poked with the paddle to gain their attention (or splashed with water)…  We will make the necessary adjustments from now on. :)  Nevertheless, we had a wonderful time with everyone!  William Michael is a great little camper, and I do believe loved every minute of it!  Afterall, he does love dirt.  My brother is quite the camping cook, and we enjoyed a lot of great food over the course of the weekend.  Pretty impressed with his abilities!  Aaron and I learned a lot more about what types of equipment we need to add to our current set.  We plan on going camping in the next few months, and are feeling better prepared because of it.  Enjoy the pictures!
